Draw Near: Faithful with the Little Things (Day 3)

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much,
and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

Luke 16:10

I am now three days into this Draw Near 14-Day Challenge. I have already adopted a few habits so far that allow me to take better care of myself. Little things like diligent focus at work (except for creating my Epic Soundtracks playlist today! You can click the link or see at the bottom of this post.) or taking the time to get ready for bed at a decent hour. All good things to adopt, however, it hit me today that I am now adding things to my day without having yet flushed anything out to alleviate the busy-ness problem. I’ve tenderly been avoiding it! This is always the most difficult part of these moments of obedience: the fear of slowing down and missing out on something. But if I can’t be faithful with the little things that I’ve committed to, then how on earth do I expect to be faithful enough to change the world?

Priorities in life can be complicated. I guess it’s time to face the fact that I need to reorganize them.

As a side note…here is my Epic Soundtracks playlist that I made today. Yes, I know most of them are Hans Zimmer compositions, but hey, he’s pretty epic! (If you don’t know who that is…for shame!)
